     In 1991 Doug Bardwell moved from Philadelphia, PA to Columbus, Ohio for a 2 year scholarship opportunity at Columbus College of Art and Design to study industrial design and sculpture.  By answering the question between form versus function, Doug began engineering school at The Ohio State University.  During that period he was mentored by Steve Lovering, Engineering Support Technologies, who was a dual degree Mechanical Engineer / Electrical Engineer / Journeyman Machinist. For those 5 years, he and Steve designed and built custom manufacturing equipment / prototypes utilizing CAD, CNC machining technologies with the latest control methodologies. After graduating with a degree in Industrial Systems Engineering, Doug began his global journey with IFI designing and building Hot Isostatic Presses. Through NWS, he is still actively supporting this group.

 

     Currently Doug is continuing his technical journey which includes projects within the hybrid electric vehicle (AMPS) market place along with other various endeavors.  Doug has been a part of a small company his entire career while servicing larger companies making him an extremely efficient and effective contractor.  The lack of a corporate influence during projects allows him to be free to innovate and produce results that best fit the task.
