NWS has both manual and CNC machining capabilities which allows for the selection of the most efficient machine for the job. Post processing a 3D CAD model to g-code is also available.

Hybrid / Electric Vehicle Control

 

 

Over the past 5 years NWS has worked with Alternative Motive Power Systems providing industrial PHEV, HEV, and EV system design and control expertise.  While working with this group, direct involvement in a TARDEC series hybrid HUMVEE was NWS's primary task including component selection, power requirement analysis, wiring harness development and overall vehicle programming including CAN control.  During that same time duration, NWS was a key partner in the mechanical and electrical development of one of the first hybrid electric locomotives.

 

NWS looks to continue providing electric vehicle design support as the industry develops. Improvements in battery and motor technology will provide more affordable vehicle solutions that NWS would like to translate to the needs of its' customers.
